Spring Cleaning

When spring comes, most homeowners start planning the cleaning of their property. Here are some important, but often neglected areas that you should include in your checklist:

  • Areas in the kitchen – the cabinet doors, the countertop, the floor, the tap and the sink are areas that get frequently cleaned in most households, but spring cleaning should be extended to comprise the cleaning of the shelves, of the drawer interiors and of the areas behind the cupboards, too;
  • Areas in the bathroom – the cleanliness of cabinet interiors and shelves is essential in the bathroom, too, so do not neglect them. Include exhaust fan, too – cleaning it thoroughly at least once or twice a year is important for ensuring that the air in your bathroom is fresh and free from germs;
  • Areas in your rooms – if you usually vacuum your rooms quickly, moving your appliance around the furniture, make sure that your spring cleaning includes the floor areas under the beds, sofas, cupboards and other furnishing items. If you have carpets, it is a good idea to get them professionally cleaned. Don’t forget the ceiling fans in your room – clean, germ-free air is just as important in your living room and bedroom as in the bathroom.
  • Exterior spaces – don’t forget about window cleaning and washing exterior spaces.  Window cleaning is one of those items that should be done by professionals especially if a ladder is required.  The front and back doors should always be cleaned too, to make a great first impression.  Companies like DMD Window & Door can install new windows and doors to make your home look beautiful.
