2. Service after the Installation - is there local service representation?

3. Warranty Issues - is the manufacturer substantial and how long has it been in business?

The most typical way is to check its "R" or thermal resistance rating (the higher the better), or it's "U" rating, which is the rate of heat flow through a glazing system (the lower the better). A more universal barometer of efficiency is the "Energy Star" rating: guidelines for energy efficiency in all climate regions.
